I really hope you're being funny. You're a much more active member than I, but it's "fliquo.". Someone even has a sig stating something like, "the screensaver is fliquo, the answer is always fliquo."
:D
Come on. You know jessica. knows. Why reply? In addition, you spelled it wrong. It's: Fliqlo.
JESSICA never jokes!:rolleyes::rolleyes:
You both know in a weird way you kinda love me. :D
That joke doesn't seem to get old.
Nope, never. :D
But really, can't wait to get my ass in gear and get a few finishing touches done on my new office and take pics.

how come you use such a retro keyboard? It looks noisey!
I am a fan of mechanical keyboards. They are clunky and loud, but allows me to type very fast. Also, I'll probably type the apple keyboard to death in less than a month because I tend to bang on the keys.
The model I have now is Happy Hacking Keyboard Lite for Mac. The touch is fairly good but it has an eccentric layout that makes is difficult for me to blind-touch the command key. I hope to get a Matias Tactile Pro 3 soon.

Great product from Apple, and the rumors got it wrong with release date and screen size.

Well the coverflow was available long time back at www.steelskies.com/coverflow
Looks like the guy sold the app to the apple and made lots of money.

Who says that they have to honor Grandfathering of Plans?
did you read the first 9 words of my post?:confused::confused:
here i'll repost it for you:
I don't know if they "legally" are required to
I was just saying, this is what they do...
Hell I even remember when the Palm Pre was released on Sprint talking with some people who had some premier type account (don't remember the name) from way back when that was not offered anymore, and even they got grandfathered in....

Um free is for a limited time only and you have to buy a $1000+ computer. Anyone who buys a $1000+ Mac should get a break on an iPod too. There is a reason why there is a whole education section on the Apple Online Store. Without students support, the iPod wouldn't be anywhere near the cultural icon that it is. Guess what, most students don't have a set income but their patronage is very important to Apple and iPods in general. And I'm 25, Mommy and Daddy haven't payed for me for a long time. So now who is trolling. (Hint: the guy who puts offensive posts up with big upper cased red letters)
Duh. I knew you weren't rich because you're a student and because you're complaining about money. That's why I said "you sound like a spoiled brat," not "you are a spoiled brat." And get over yourself, Apple owes you nothing. If you don't like their products or their pricing, then don't buy their stuff. It's as simple as that. I won't be replying again, I'm done with this conversation.

I think you'd better use one of the Galaxy Tab, preferably while right next to an iPad, before you freely recommend the Galaxy Tab as a replacement.
I've tried a Galaxy Tab 7" and really liked the smaller form factor... but just for playing games. For surfing and email, I'd find 7" a little too small, but a 7" tablet is large enough to provide details and ease of control, but small enough to comfortably fit in your hands.
I didn't try it out long enough to really put it through its paces or to develop an opinion of how the OS fits together, but I had a really nice 5 minute experience with it.
BTW, I own an iPad and I'm happy with it, but I do admire the build quality of a lot of the tablets coming out. Everyone who's in the game seems to be putting out something that actually feels like a solid piece of hardware instead of the cheap feeling laptops that they usually produce.

Er... I'm with the crowd that says there is nothing new on the banner... but what is that Q above the Finder icon? Definately not quicktime... I'm sure its some program that I don't know.
Also why is a cup of tea/coffee up there? There is a small 3rd party prog that uses the icon, I'm just wondering why its up there... perhaps to promote the use of Macs in coffee shops =)
Anybody know about that Q?
Er whoops sorry... here is the pic :) (http://flickr.com/photos/66488342@N00/206062001/in/set-72157594223273881/)

Sligthly off-topic:
Judging from history what do you thing, when would iLife '07 be available?
I am seriously considering to wait a little longer (the 1.83 model has left me strongly disappointed).
So I thought I can wait a little longer and buy when iLife 07 will be included in the purchase (to make up for the lousy specs )

My 32GB ssd ipod mini is still going strong. These things last pretty well, so even if they discontinue them, buy one on ebay or something and it might last you until something else comes along.

Im loving the iPhone 4 camera, and improving further is great... except for megapixels! High MP is a marketing bullet point that wastes storage space for most purposes (and increases noise, even if the image is later scaled smaller).
Id like to see the spec wars peter out at 5 MP, but I guess its not to be...

Ouch.
I get 36 hours on my Droid X without any issues...
If youre getting 36 hours youre barely using it for anything more than texting/calls/web browsing etc.
Youre definitely not getting 36 hours without charging playing games/streaming music etc. on top of texting/calls/web browsing. the iPhone too gets 36 hours if you use it like you do.

When solid-state drives come way, way down in price, and can be manufactured in a scaled-down dimension, you might very well see a 128 gig iPod Classic. But as long as the Classic uses a regular hard drive, I don't see any effort on Apple's part to revamp it or issue a larger capacity.
Why? it's an ipod first of all, and 128 is a step back from 160. who cares SSD or not? its an ipod not a computer.
The thing has no need to be updated so why bother? what can they possibly improve in it besides a crappy speaker that i'll hate anyway? and notice i say improve meaning NO TOUCH OPTIONS!

Well, Libya does have oil. Maybe once we help the al-Qaeda-allied rebels (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/africaandindianocean/libya/8407047/Libyan-rebel-commander-admits-his-fighters-have-al-Qaeda-links.html) get rid of Gadaffi, they'll sell us some.
America doesn't care who actually owns the oil, we just need access to it, or we need to crack open a country to be bought up by our favorite oil companies (Iraqi oilfields). As long as relations are good with whoever owns the resource (doesn't matter if that ownership came about via warfare) and we have access, the rest doesn't seem to matter.

This almost requires that iCloud be a free service for iOS users. A back up is prudent for any OS upgrade so having all or nearly all of your phone's personal data backed up or exclusively stored in the cloud would be a system that would allow iOS devices not have to rely on an iTunes direct link.
This also means that iTunes is going to be outdated and useless soon...at least for those of us with iOS devices :)

this would be fantastic.. ebooks and i would also like to see pdf added to the list!! the current text feature is nice but adding pdf abilities would be better :)
And websites, RSS etc. We need a simple way of quickly grabbing a lot of webstuff to synchronise.
Then again - if you take the current iPod, make it full screen, replace the hard disk with 10GB flash ram & bluetooth/wireless (will that combo increase battery life?).... maybe we'll update on the go.
Please apple, something lighweight, long battery life, thin and portable, scratch-resistant, and super high res/high contrast screen (OLED/eInk?).
:)
edit: also magazine support for those macworlds I have in the Zinio reader format would be awesomeIf this happens, would it be as an extension of the existing iPod, or as a similar/related product? Can you imagine a light & thin iPod nano with an 8x6 inch eInk screen, for instance?

Interesting...perhaps this developers whining got somebody's attention at Apple, 3.03 is available on App Store... very short list of enhancements... "Bug Fixes" and "Japanese/Chinese Localization".

It'll be $129 — the same as ALL of the past upgrades except for Snow Leopard which was Leopard but just a slimmed-down, rewriting of the OS. Apple felt that without a lot of core new features being added, they would give the public a break and just charge a nominal fee for Snow Leopard, rather than the typical $129.
Don't listen to anyone who says differently. It will be $129.
I doubt it. The $129 upgrades were back in the era before the iOS platform took off. The iPhone, and iPad are really accelerating Apple's income and profits, so they don't need to price OS upgrades that high. Snow Leopard brought a bunch of new tech to the table for developers to play with, and $29 was the easy way to ensure most people had that tech. Apple is likely much more interested in moving the platform forward then they are with $100 extra from each person. The more people stay current, the more developers can actually use the latest toys. Also consider that for Intel 10.4 users, the "$29 upgrade" worked fine, even though Apple could have blocked that and forced it to be a Leopard only upgrade.
Notice how Apple moved away from paid iOS upgrades for iPod Touch users. They saw enough people hold back that it was going to be an issue with the apps in the App Store. Now iPod users get their updates for free.
I'm going to predict $29 for Lion, with an option to even just grab it from the App Store like how they distributed it to developers. Possibly even a little cheaper off the App Store, and $29 for the in store disc based copy.

Damn I'm glad I bought a iPad2. I prefer 2D I even will drive a long ways to see a 3D movie when offered in 2D.
